Fungal infections are caused by fungus, which is a type of microorganism. The two common causes of fungal infections are the fungi called Tinea and Candida albicans.
Tineas causes: 1. Athlete's Foot 2. Jock itch 3. Ring worm Candida albicans cause yeast infections that cause infections in the: 1. Esophagus 2. Digestive tract 3. Lungs 4. Mouth 5. Urinary Tract Symptoms of athlete's foot: 1. Itching of feet 2. Scaling and flaking of skin on feet Symptoms of Jock itch: 1. Itching of groin 2. Rash on groin Symptoms of ring worm: 1. Itching of scalp 2. Hair loss in the affected area in the shape of a ring. Symptoms of Mouth infection: 1. Patches of yellow and white in/on mouth, throat, or tongue. 2. Bleeding and sore gums 3. Difficulty swallowing Symptoms of digestive tract infection: 1. Diarrhea 2. Swallowing with difficulty 3. Nausea 4. Puking |
